Our Story
To think, it all started with a “cran”…
Lauren and Tyler first met when they both attended Christ the King School in Lubbock, Texas. It wasn’t until Tyler moved away (several times) and came back to Lubbock that he fell head over heels for a gorgeous, sassy redhead who made fun of the way he said ‘crayon’ in study hall (that girl, of course, was Lauren).
Remaining close friends throughout the following years, supporting each other through all life’s challenges, reveling in the other’s celebrations. In 2018, they took a walk together around Bailey Lake and figured out what everyone else had already known for years- they were meant for eachother. Three years, two puppies, and one house fire later, Tyler proposed to Lauren in that same spot, to which she enthusiastically said ‘YES!’.
Jeremy Taylor wrote: “True love is friendship caught on fire”. Perhaps he meant it in a more metaphorical sense- regardless, we have carried each other through good times and bad; have overcome tremendous obstacles together, and reached some pretty stellar heights. But the best is certainly still yet to come.
Finally, after breaking the record for longest engagement, we are both overjoyed to invite you to our wedding at Lone Star Mansion in Burleson, Texas on October 12, 2024. We hope you can attend and celebrate with us on this special occasion!
